Realm VTT

Realm VTT is a free, browser-based virtual tabletop with a Looking for Group board built in. GMs post free or paid games, players filter by ruleset, schedule, price, and language, and apply with a GM-written questionnaire. When a GM accepts an application the player is added to the campaign, where dynamic lighting, fog of war, character sheets, and the D&D 5e (2024) SRD are already set up. Paid games charge each player per session through Stripe. Realm keeps 10% on the free tier and 7.5% for subscribers. Payouts are currently limited to US-based GMs.

StartPlaying

StartPlaying.Games is the largest marketplace for paid tabletop RPG sessions. GMs list games, players book seats, and the platform handles scheduling, payment, and reviews. It keeps 10% of the GM's rate and adds a service fee to the player's checkout. StartPlaying is not a virtual tabletop: once a seat is booked, the game runs on Roll20, Foundry, or whichever VTT the GM uses, and any premium features of that VTT are paid for separately.
